Comprehensive Orthopaedic Extremity Care
Our surgeons are all highly trained and board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. They treat all extremity problems and are a referral center for complex problems. All treatments are performed according to evidenced based medicine clinical practice guidelines. We do not recommend a treatment unless there is a solid proven clinical benefit for our patients.
Our surgeons are local leaders and pioneers in the newest technology for hip, knee, shoulder and ankle replacement and complex reconstruction. Utilizing minimally invasive surgery and proprietary clinical pathways, we deliver cutting edge treatment with our rapid recovery program. Using digital imaging the surgeries are planned and performed using minimally invasive techniques including muscle sparing incisions and direct anterior hip replacements. Same day discharge is routinely performed outside the hospital setting.
Hand and Upper Extremity
We offer subspecialty care in hand and upper extremity problems. This includes comprehensive care of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Novel techniques to address these problems can be performed in the office or outpatient setting. Such conditions include tendon and ligament tears, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's contracture, trigger finger, nerve injury, and fracture fixation. Our surgeons are experienced at arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Foot and Ankle
We are a referral center for complex foot and ankle problems. From bunions and arthritis to fixing failed surgeries, our center is a local leader in providing exceptional care for a myriad of problems. Dr. Mates is the local specialist in limb salvage for severe diabetic foot disorders including Charcot foot.
All of our surgeons are trained specialists in treating extremity fractures. With onsite digital XRay, diagnoses are made with an initial consultation with a surgeon. We also offer onsite casting and bracing as well as outpatient and inpatient options for surgical fixation of all types of fractures.
Dealing with metastatic carcinoma is a challenging time for patients and families. When it affects bone integrity it can be even more life altering.
